A Very Late Update

Hey everyone, sorry for such a long time in between posts. I honestly and truthfully had every intention to post more often but really struggled to stay on top of things. It was a crazy few months. But anyway, here we are, on the eve of launch. Crazy, right? This whole thing really snuck up on me too. Seriously, I’m writing this puppy at 3:30 in the morning, been one of those days. But yes, there’s a lot that has happened and probably a lot that I need to catch you all up on and there’s really no great way to do it; so, I’m going to hit you with a few quick highlights and we’ll call it a night. Sound like a plan? Cool. Let’s run through them quick.

• Training Camp: So at the end of October I had training camp down in Gainesville, GA. I spent 10 days living out of a tent, worshipping and in the word, getting to know my team, and getting out and sharing the Gospel. It was a great week of learning and fellowship. Loved getting to know my team and the people I will be serving with this year.

 

• Training camp was an awesome opportunity to hang out with my team but it was also a great heart check for me. So much of training camp was spent in prayer and worship or diving into the word. This was such a spiritually rich and refreshing week and there was a lot that came out of it. A few big words or phrases that sum up the week for me would be: 

• Say yes 
• Am I engaging the Lord? 
• My confidence is the Lord’s faithfulness

Like I said, there was a lot in this for me and I may try to expound on them later on.

 

• Fundraising update: Life since training camp has been busy. One big part of that has been fundraising. I have been blown away by the love and support I have received from countless people over the last few months. It’s been truly incredible. Right now, I am currently at $14,300 and still working towards my goal of $19,300. Prayers for finances and provision is a big one right now; but also, if you feel led to give, you may do so via the donate tab in the top right corner. 

 

Today: Well like I said at the start, this thing is here. I fly out of Fort Wayne tomorrow and head down to Atlanta where we will launch for the year. I’m pumped, and a little nervous too. But truly just so ready for this year and what the Lord has in store. 

 

For now, I will probably leave it at that, might try to catch some sleep. I am excited for this journey and I am excited to have you join me. I will work to be better in the future at updating.
